The Seamen’s Training Center was established in 1987, it is a training base for seafarers in Fujian Province with the longest history and the largest variety of training programs. The total number of people trained has exceeded 50,000.

Complete training programs: The Seamen’s Training Center has 17 training programs, including basic safety training, professional training for proficiency in craft and boat, professional training for proficiency in first aid, oil tanker and chemical ship, etc. Currently, it is the only designated training institution in Fujian Province for safety knowledge of chemical ship crew, safe operation of chemical ship crew, high-speed ship and ro-ro passenger ship.

Advanced training equipment: The Seamen’s Training Center has the most complete and realistic simulated oiling cabin and firefighting cabin in China, and also has teaching equipment and facilities such as craft and boat practice base and sea practice training site which are compatible with various training programs.

Strong training strength: The Seamen’s Training Center is an important landmark for seafarer training in Xiamen, and has won a good reputation for its high quality of teaching. It has hosted the training program of Singapore Seamen's Union, and its strength has continued to develop and progress.
